310 ANN STREET FOYER

We were engaged by the owner of 310 Ann Street in Brisbane's CBD to design a new interior for the main lobby space. The existing building has "good bones" and our strategy was to work with the existing fabric as much as possible, introducing new elements that complement and improve the space rather than trying to compete or clash with it.

Our proposal is to populate the existing space with several insertions: A loose furniture setting, anchored by a rug featuring custom artwork is the heart and focus of the space. Subtropical landscaping is deployed to soften the edges and create an elevated green canopy over the entrance. Finally, a dramatic suspended light feature activates the multi-storey void and draws the eye upward while giving the seating area a more intimate scale.
